An audit of the General Inspector has identified that CRM applications were not properly tested. Following this audit, tests were reported as priority by the top management of IT. Management asked to have tests progress indicators, in order to present them to the GI, without success.

Middle management directive to this is hardly conveyed to the teams, with the aim to deliver rather quickly to customer satisfaction.

In the teams, testing activities are not recognized as rewarding. As manual and partially formalized tests are slow and inefficient. Lack of test environments created a bottleneck. In addition, applications are delivered late to the Quality team, less than a week before the products needed to be in production.

In fact, teams are passing the buck: for development tests are a matter of the test team, For the test team it is the responsibility of the development team to deliver a product of quality.
